Frequently Asked Questions

Before reaching out, please take a moment to read through these — your answer might be right here.

If it's not, don't hesitate to send me your question at:

mail@serenspecs.com

In brief: If your SerenSpecs stop working due to no fault of your own, we'll get them fixed up and returned to you, or replaced.

Some of the common things we won't fix are: water damage, dropping from a high distance, animal damage (e.g. chewed on by dog or cat), or an accidental trip through the washing machine.

My guess is that for most of you, common sense will define whether the situation is appropriate for the warranty. If you're unsure, just send me an e-mail with your situation and I'll do what I can to help.

No worries. You can send it back within 30 days.

My mission isn't to "sell" SerenSpecs to everyone — it’s to make them sustainably available for those who benefit from them. If it’s not a fit for you, send them back so someone else can use them.

I’d love to hear your feedback though; it helps me improve my processes and invention.

Because I can afford to be. Nobody should be priced out of a tool that can help them manage their day-to-day with more ease, focus and peace.

Of course, SerenSpecs needs to be profitable to survive, but profit is not the main goal. My main mission is accessibility: making sure this technology is available to all who need it.

Other AVS (audio-visual stimulation) systems might look a little flashier (pun intended) in certain areas. But are they 3–10 times better? Does paying 3–10 times more give you that much more effect? That’s for you to decide with your purchasing power. My belief is: no. That’s why SerenSpecs exists.

For the vast majority of people, yes!

If you have photosensitive epilepsy (PSE), then it is best to avoid using this device.

If you are prone to migraines, flickering light might onset one, but that passes shortly after stopping (which can be done immediately).

A few more notes:
PSE is mostly diagnosed in childhood or adolescence.

And just to be clear: PSE is a genetic condition and cannot be "contracted" from exposure to flicker-light.
